Exclusive 1/1 Collection
The Other Avatars is an innovative NFT project launched by Saatchi Art, bringing together artists from around the world to reinterpret the iconic self-portraits of Vincent van Gogh. The collection debuted on January 24, 2022, and sold out within just 20 minutes.
My contribution to this collection is inspired by Van Gogh’s painting “Skull of a Skeleton with a Burning Cigarette” (1885–86). For the project, each artist created 10 to 20 unique 1/1 avatars, ensuring that every piece was individually designed—not generative art. This approach allowed for an expansive range of artistic styles and personal interpretations, making each NFT truly one of a kind.
Collectors can explore and acquire these distinctive avatars on secondary marketplaces like OpenSea.
While Van Gogh is now recognized as one of the most influential artists in Western history, he struggled for commercial success during his lifetime. His story mirrors the journey of many visionary artists whose work is often ahead of its time—misunderstood in the moment, only to gain recognition later.

I created 15 unique 1/1 pieces for The Other Avatars collection, featuring a CG animated skeleton embodying 15 distinct personalities. Each character is fully realized through thematic dress, attitude, and vibe, bringing a fresh spin to Van Gogh’s legacy with a dose of digital mischief.
Each of these skeletons brings their own unique energy, blending CG animation, fine art, and pop culture into something truly one-of-a-kind. Van Gogh’s spirit meets the digital age—would he approve? Probably. 🎨💀🔥
